Fort Colville Inaugural Miss and Out .22RF Rifle Match

Fort Colville Inaugural Miss and Out .22RF Rifle Match

Saturday, May 30, 2026

Sign up opens at 8:30 AM, Sight-in begins at 9 AM,  Match starts at 10 AM

Targets are 8 swinging steel targets at 50 yards, ranging in size from 2” diameter to 1⁄4” diameter in 1⁄4” increments. You have 8 rounds MAXIMUM to score as many hits as possible. Targets must be engaged in order from largest to smallest.

Targets must visibly “swing” to be counted as a hit. If a target is shot at and missed, you lose all points accumulated to that point. If a target is shot out of order, you lose all points accumulated to that point. Shooter may stop at any time and record all points scored to that point. If time runs out prior to a miss or completion of all 8 shots the shooter records all points accumulated to that point. If, while shooting the rack, the shooter misses a target but still has any number of the allowed 8 rounds left, they may return to the first target and begin the process over with the remaining rounds.

A match consists of 4 relays lasting 2 minutes each. Reloading is on the clock. Final match score is the total of all points recorded in the 4 relays.

We will shoot two matches, with a $10 entry per match. $5 goes to the gun club, remainer will be split one- half for first, one-third for second and remainder for third, rounded for convenience.

NO COACHING ALLOWED – Shooter is responsible for hitting correct targets, doping wind, etc. Exception is youth shooters 14 and under can receive coaching.

Tie breaking: At the end of the 4th relay scores will be totaled. Ties will be broken with alternate shooting at the ¼ inch swinger. This will continue until one shooter gets a hit and other shooter(s) miss.

Any safe.22 RF rifle may be used, with any sights or scope. Scopes are highly recommended.  Other rimfire cartridges such as 17 HMR and .22 Magnum are NOT allowed.  Ammo must be less than 1300 fps muzzle velocity; no hyper-velocity rounds.

Firing is from a bench. Front bipod, rest and/or bag and rear bag are allowed. No lead sleds, rear monopods or other mechanical rear support devices.

Chamber flags must be used; flags will be available at the range. Eye and ear protection is required
